It is an honor to serve as Judge for LaPorte County Superior Court 1. It is a busy courtroom with a wide variety of cases that present new challenges on a daily basis. I was fortunate to have the unique opportunity to gain experience as a judicial officer on many levels before taking over as Judge of Superior Court 1.

INDIANAPOLIS - La Porte Superior Court 1 Judge Kathleen Lang is one of 29 judges selected to participate in the Judicial Conference of Indiana's Graduate Program for Judges.

Judge Kathleen Lang was appointed LaPorte County Superior Court No. 1 Judge September 2005. Her caseload includes major felony criminal cases, family law, civil litigation, estates, guardianships and mental health cases.
Prior to this appointment, she served our county as a Magistrate, as a Probate Commissioner and as an Administrative Hearing Judge.
As LaPorte County Circuit Court Magistrate, she was instrumental in developing several at-risk youth programs, such as Project ED & Day Reporting.
